Copy Clipper

Terms & Conditions

Effective date: 2026-06-10

These terms govern your use of the Copy Clipper Chrome browser extension ("the Software") published by Bytescare. By installing or using the Software you agree to these terms.

1. Licence

Copy Clipper is distributed under the MIT licence. The licence text is included in the source repository at github.com/vineetv2821993/copyclipper. You may use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the Software subject to the licence terms.

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use Copy Clipper for lawful purposes and to comply with any applicable terms of the websites you visit. The Software is a personal productivity tool and is not designed to scrape or redistribute third-party content at scale.

3. Your content

Anything you save with Copy Clipper stays on your device in your browser's local extension storage. Bytescare does not receive, host, or back up your notes. You are responsible for your own backups (the in-extension Export feature produces JSON, CSV, and ZIP archives).

4. Privacy

Use of the Software is also governed by our Copy Clipper Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

5. No warranty

Copy Clipper is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

6. Limitation of liability

In no event shall Bytescare or the authors of Copy Clipper be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability, whether in an action of contract, tort, or otherwise, arising from, out of, or in connection with the Software or the use or other dealings in the Software. This includes loss of data, even where you had a backup or export available.

7. Third-party services

Copy Clipper does not integrate with any third-party services for storage, analytics, or distribution beyond the Chrome Web Store itself. Favicons in the note list are rendered through Chrome's built-in _favicon endpoint; any network activity caused by that endpoint is performed by Chrome, not by Copy Clipper.

8. Changes to the Software

The Software is updated through the Chrome Web Store. Updates may add, change, or remove features. Your continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated terms (if any).

9. Termination

You may stop using Copy Clipper at any time by removing the extension from Chrome. Removing the extension deletes everything Copy Clipper stored on your device.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Bytescare operates.
